Press!

Hello everyone, PerSN recently received its first recognition in press, in the American Foreign Service Journal, December 2011 Issue. PerSN was recently named Site of the Month in the CyberNotes section of the journal.

Special thanks to FSJ and their staff for noticing our product.

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the up until now low level of communication between the developers and you all. This blog will hopefully help allow greater feedback and information sharing between us.

I want to do two things in this post: 1) provide a method of feedback for the user, and 2) explain where we are and where we are going.

My email is Stearns@PerSN.com, and you can contact me by phone at 202-248-2246, also you can post on the blog and I will try my best to respond.

As far as our current position and expected future:

The service is largely functional. Currently the SMS feature is not active due to the presently prohibitive cost of the SMS send/receive service. Hopefully this will change in the next few months. Further, the iPhone app is under development. We are open to testers, so anyone wishing to participate in a beta test for it, please contact me via email and we can work to get you set up with the app.

Also, we have a corporate version (www.persn/com/en/corp) which we would provide for free to organizations wishing to beta test. The advantages of the corporate version are centralized control of minimum security settings, and pre-set emergency contact lists.

Thanks for reading, and please feel free to shoot me an email about the site, the service, etc. Everything from optimistic praise to outright mean derision will be appreciated in email, but do try to keep posts on the blog civil.

Cheers,
Brian
